Donation Terms

1. Your donation

A donation is a voluntary contribution towards the costs of running the Aethernal2 game server.

You can donate the amounts offered on the donation page. Amounts are in euros (EUR).

2. Thank-you coins

As a thank-you for your donation, coins are added to the game account you are logged in with when you donate. Each donation option states the number of thank-you coins and any bonus coins.

Thank-you coins are a gift for use in the game only. They can only be spent in the Aethernal2 item shop in the game.

Thank-you coins have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged back into money and cannot be transferred outside the game.

3. Changes to amounts and coins

The donation amounts, the number of thank-you coins and the bonus coins can change for future donations.

4. Payment and delivery

You donate with one of the payment methods offered on the donation page and complete the payment on its checkout page.

The thank-you coins are added to your account automatically and immediately after the payment is confirmed; for Bitcoin, when BTCPay Server marks the invoice as settled. You then receive a confirmation by e-mail.

5. Donations with Bitcoin

Bitcoin donations go through our own BTCPay Server checkout. The amount is fixed in euros when the invoice is created and converted into bitcoin at the exchange rate of that moment. The invoice expires after 30 minutes and must not be paid after that.

Bitcoin network fees are borne by you, the donor: the amount that reaches the invoice must be at least the amount shown. If you pay too little, the checkout shows the remaining amount, which you can pay until the invoice expires.

A payment that is still too low when the invoice expires, a payment that is too high, and a payment that arrives after the invoice has expired are not settled automatically: no thank-you coins are added automatically, and the payment is checked by hand by the team.

6. Immediate delivery and the right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the European Union you normally have the right to withdraw from an online contract within 14 days. Thank-you coins are digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. Under the EU consumer rules for digital content (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU), this right ends once the delivery has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

Before you pay, you therefore tick a second box to ask for the thank-you coins to be delivered immediately and to confirm that you understand that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. Without that box no donation can be made. Your right of withdrawal ends as soon as the thank-you coins have been added to your account. The confirmation e-mail repeats your request and acknowledgement.

7. No refunds

Donations are not refunded, except where mandatory law requires a refund.

8. Chargebacks and fraud

If a donation is charged back or reversed, or turns out to be fraudulent, the thank-you coins of that donation are removed from the account and the account may be suspended.

9. Bans and account deletion

If your account is banned or deleted, its unused thank-you coins lapse.

11. Applicable law

These terms and every donation are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer living in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law.

These terms can change for future donations. Every donation is governed by the version you accepted at checkout, which your confirmation e-mail names.
