Guild levels from guild wars
On Aethernal2 a guild levels up by fighting guild wars. Members no longer offer their own experience to the guild.
What is different
- Guild experience comes only from finished guild wars, classic and ranked. Offering character experience to the guild does nothing.
- Guild sign from level 1. A new guild can upload its sign right away.
- Classic wars are easy to start: each guild needs at least 2 members, and ladder points are not needed.
How much experience
Each war gives a share of the experience the guild needs for its current level:
| Result | Classic war | Ranked match |
|---|---|---|
| Win | 10 % | 15 % |
| Draw | 5 % | (ranked has no draws) |
| Loss | 2 % | 3 % |
So level 1 to 2 takes 10 classic wins or 7 ranked wins. One war never gives more than one full level, and level 20 is the highest. Every member online gets a chat line with the experience earned.
Each new guild level gives the guild one skill point, refills the guild's power and adds 1000 ladder points.
When a classic war counts
A classic war gives experience only when it really ends (score limit or time limit) and only if:
- it lasted at least 5 minutes after it started;
- there was real fighting: at least 10 kills by both sides together, and for a win at least 10 by the winner;
- it is one of the first 3 experience wars between the same two guilds in 24 hours;
- the guild has had at most 5 experience-giving classic wars in 24 hours (against any opponent).
Wars ended early (a guild disbanded, the war was stopped, the war map could not be created, a server shutdown) give nothing.
When a ranked match counts
Only finished ranked matches give experience. Nothing is given for a forfeit, for a match both sides lose (0 - 0 or both absent), or for a match flagged for low engagement or other irregularities. Cancelled matches never count. More about ranked play: Ranked guild wars.
